Certified Professional Inspector

A CPI is a home inspector who has met rigorous voluntary standards beyond state licensing, requiring them to pass exams, complete ethics/standards courses, submit mock inspections, and get continuing education, signifying a commitment to high-quality, unbiased property inspections for clients.

Infrared Certified

The inspector is familiar with the capabilities and limitations of the infrared imager and the way buildings absorb and radiate heat energy. Using thermal imaging professionally requires not just having the camera, but also having the knowledge necessary to use the camera correctly and to accurately interpret the images it produces.

Certified Deck Inspector

This certification is earned through completing a 35 CE course. The course teaches the inspector how to identify the components and safety features of decks.

Radon Certification

This certification is earned through completing a 16 CE course. The course teaches the inspector about the hazards of radon and the testing methods available to determine the radon exposure level of a client’s home.

Moisture Intrusion Certification

This certification is earned by completing a 46 hour course. The course focuses on how water moves through a home and the various ways that it can cause damage to the structure and air quality of the home.

Certified Plumbing Inspector

This certification is earned through completing a 52 CE course. The course teaches the inspector how to identify the components of the plumbing system and understand how the components of the plumbing system function and perform.

InterNACHI Certified

InterNACHI® is the world’s leading association for home inspectors. They provide training, online testing and certification and ongoing support for their 24,000 members. This organization establishes and promotes high Standards of Practice and a Code of Ethics for inspectors.

Certified Roof Inspector

This certification is earned through completing a 45 CE course. The course involves learning a systematic check from the ground and attic for damage like missing shingles granule loss, or moisture, focusing on penetrations (vent, chimneys) and valleys.

Safe Workplace Inspector Certification

Inspectors are expected to gain an understanding of basic safety tools and tips, feel confident working safely with various systems, provide client safety, and take action if injury occurs.

Honor Guarantee

InterNachi’s Honor Guarantee is a pledge that backs its certified home inspectors, offering clients up to $25,000 to replace personal property lost or stolen by a member during an inspection. (Provided the member is convicted of a related crime.)
